Mountainbiking, Hellas-Sörmlandsleden, Sweden

Went out on my Kona singlespeed for a couple of hours in the area close to where I live.. Tried a couple of trails on "Sicklaskiftet", some others in the area close to Hellasgården and then finished on Sörmlandsleden section 1.. I still have to get off when it is steep uphill and on the more technical sections, lacking strength in my left leg and being wary of having a fall.. But it's getting better for each ride, hope to be in pretty decent form within a month or so..

Kayak Surfing, Torö Stenstrand, Sweden

With a force 5-6 wind coming in from south-west, it's best to make good use of a sunny day and head to Torö.. I wasn't the only one that had the same idea, the rocky beach was full with sea sport enthusiasts.. Most of them were windsurfers, a fair amount were kite-boarders, a few were regular surfers and then there was me, the only one with a paddel.. As usual when the surf waves are high, I had a couple of un-planned swims but it was great fun and a decent work-out.. Although entering the kayak on slippery stones in a rough sea with a weak left leg is hard, it didn't make much difference out in the waves..

Kayaking, Gräsö, Sweden

Kayaking on Sunday at the west side of Gräsö in the northern archipelago.. Out for a couple of hours, nice weather, fairly choppy waves that bounced back from the cliffs, several hidden shoals that forced a couple of unplanned stops.. On one of the pictures "Forsmark 1, 2, 3" can be seen on the other side of the sound, a bit unusual to have nuclear plants in the scenic photos.. First run with an improvised new seat made with old frame+silver tape and lots of foam pads, worked well..

Kayaking, Torö-Landsort, Sweden

A 24 hour long paddle trip in the southern archipelago, starting from Ören on Torö and heading south-east towards Landsort.. Slow pace and a few stops along the way, nice sunny weather on Saturday.. Spent the night in my tent on a little rock island, occationally woken up by distant thunder and some rain showers.. The forced "seal-landings" due to my limited mobility caused a leak in the bow, but it was temporarily fixed with the trusted "silver-tape".. Sunday morning offered grey skies and the calm sea looked like a green porrage with the algae blossoming..
