Season 2019/2020 premier on nordic skating on the little marsh lake “Dalkarlskärret” near Uppsala.. Very early start before dawn so we used headlamps initially..

Solo Top Rope climbing, Vårdberget, Oct 31st

A sunny but chilly day at Vårdberget, Fituna, but no complaints as it's almost November.. I did some more testing on easy routes of different gear setups for top rope solo climbing - Using a Petzl Shunt plus Micro Traxion or Camp Lift, and descending with an ATC.. Worked pretty well, although at times I got some interference, so I'll fine-tune the setup of slings/carabiners to keep them separated but in the right position.. I'll complement with a rope ladder, as it was obvious that it's a bit of a hassle to switch to rappel if the rope(s) were under full tension..

Rock Climbing, Ryssgraven, Oct 29th

Around 5 degrees and sunny, perfect opportunity to try out some new gear and technique at Ryssgraven in Kungsängen.. Climbing with friends is preferred of course, but it's great to be able to head out solo when needed and to have a secure method for that.. I tried a fixed double top-rope on some easy routes, and used a Petzl shunt + micro traxion as ascenders, switching to shunt + atc for belaying back down. Worked well, but I'll do some minor tweaks for convenience. Nice day with amazing views!

Hiking, Sånfjället, Sept 6th-8th

Weekend hiking around Sånfjället with Tommy, 6th-8th of September 2019.. Nice views, varied terrain and weather, Sunday morning we were lucky with perfect conditions to get to the summit of Sånfjället..

Sailing, Herräng-Käringsund, Aug 31st-Sept 1st

After night watch at the boat club, I headed off early Saturday morning across the Åland Sea with a nice breeze to Käringsund.. A relaxed afternoon and evening in the harbour and went to bed fairly early.. Sunday offered proper conditions for the return leg, a fresh breeze with strong gale gusts.. Sirun coped well with reefed main and genoa, saw some nice speeds as we danced down the breaking waves.. Soundtrack is the song “Polaris” by Deadmau5, a current favourite..

Freediving, Tug 2 at Exiles, Malta, Aug 27th

Freediving, Inland Sea tunnel & Blue Hole, Gozo, Aug 26th

Sunday session at the dive sites Inland Sea tunnel and the Blue Hole on Gozo. Clear water and amazing views.. I was solo which is not ideal from a safety point, so I didn't push it, just casual swims.. First time there since the Azur Window disappeared into the sea in a big storm, a scenic view that is missed..

Freediving, Ghar Lapsi tunnel, Aug 24th

A few laps through a tunnel at Ghar Lapsi, Malta. Entry from the lagoon is around 2 meters deep and the exit probably around 8 meters deep. Not sure about the length but perhaps 15 meters? Good idea to scout as much as possible, popular passage with scuba divers, and meeting them in the tunnel could be tight. Also, avoid if the waves are on-shore as the water can them pump back and forth in the tunnel..

Freediving, Tug 2, Sliema, Malta, Aug 22nd

Thursday Sunset freediving at Exiles on Tug 2 , Malta with Kamilla. First time in 10 months, but body and mind felt great. Dropping weight, being healthy and doing some cardio before the trip seemed to make a big difference. Did a few swims through the wreck and max depth was probably around 20-22 meters. (Dive computer had no battery..). Awesome session!

Rock Climbing, Ryssgraven, Aug 3rd

Saturday Rock climbing with Tommy at Ryssgraven in Kungsängen.. Perfect weather with sun and a light breeze.. We did various easy routes with top rope and sports climbing, getting back into the routine.. Lots of fun!

Sailing to Gotland, Öland & Åland, July 15th-July28th

Sailing my Adagio 27 from Herräng to Gotland and Öland and north through the Stockholm archipelago and finally crossing over to Åland and back. 2 crew changes and the final days single-handed. Varied weather going from cold and rain to heat-wave. Great trip!

Sailing Adagio 27 in Roslagen, June 8th-9th

Weekend sailing with Emil from Uddhamn to Öregrund and back, varied weather from 28C and light breeze up to gale force wind and heavy rain.. We enjoyed some great sailing and top class on the sausage BBQ’s.

Sailing, Herräng to Käringsund, May 17th-19th

Pre-summer sailing to Eckerö, Åland, and the lovely harbour of Käringsund. Very light winds across the sound and almost empty at arrival. A few beers, some hot dogs on the boat grill, motoring back on Sunday on a very calm sea..

Skating, Singöfjärden, Feb 23rd

Skating with Ricky on Singöfjärden in Roslagen on mostly great ice. We took a loop north up towards Brännäset where we met the open water, and then made our way south-west towards the Singö bridges, before heading back towards Uddhamn, Herräng. The trip was around 33 kilometers in casual pace. Spring is just around the corner!

Skating, Närdingen & Vällen, Jan 6th

Sunday skating with Emil in Uppland.. We made a full run on Närdingen and had company of a fox running over the ice, then continued on Vällen with slightly worse conditions but still enjoyable..

Skating, Biskops-Arnö, Jan 5th

Saturday afternoon session on Erken around Biskops-Arnö and Ryssviken.. Mostly good ice with some open and too thin areas.. We covered 23 kilometres before it got too dark..
