Sailing, Gräsö-Örskär, July 30th-Aug 2nd

Sailing from home harbor north & north-west around Gräsö & Örskär.. Saturday night, just the short jump to Brännäset, and on Sunday the not very long distance up to Öregrund but with some pretty gusty wind at times.. Monday I rounded Örskär and headed south-east on the outer side.. This section is fairly tricky as it is a shallow archipelago with underwater rocks everywhere to zig-zag around.. Tuesday morning the final stretch back to harbor where I spent some hours working on the boat with some maintenance and upgrades..  

Kayaking, Gräsö, Sweden

Kayaking on Sunday at the west side of Gräsö in the northern archipelago.. Out for a couple of hours, nice weather, fairly choppy waves that bounced back from the cliffs, several hidden shoals that forced a couple of unplanned stops.. On one of the pictures "Forsmark 1, 2, 3" can be seen on the other side of the sound, a bit unusual to have nuclear plants in the scenic photos.. First run with an improvised new seat made with old frame+silver tape and lots of foam pads, worked well..
