Time to take the new sailboat home from where it was when I bought it in
Österskär, Åkersberga, to my home harbour at the Herrängs Boatclub..
It's a Bellona 23, from the late 70's, nothing fancy but with some
renovation and upgrades it should do the job nicely.. The distance of
approximately 130 kilometres included the busy Furusund shipping lane, passing
Kapellskär harbour, and then through the Väddö channel with two bridge
openings.. We motored about 9 hours on Saturday and another 4 on Sunday,
almost becalmed the whole time so no sailing.. A bit chilly for the season with 5-9 C
mixed with rain and at times, fairly dense fog..
