Skating, Biskops-Arnö, Jan 5th

Saturday afternoon session on Erken around Biskops-Arnö and Ryssviken.. Mostly good ice with some open and too thin areas.. We covered 23 kilometres before it got too dark..

Nordic Skating, Vällen & Ekoln, Jan 21st

Not as great as last weekend on Båven, but still a very nice morning. Joined by my brother, we started off on Northern Vällen, where the ice was half-decent but still enjoyable. After that, we drove to Ryssvägen and took a lap north on Ekoln with a bit smoother ice. Total distance for the day was 38 kilometres.

A lot of driving in search of ice this day, Erken was still open, Närdingen had some half-decent ice with partially melted and re-frozen snow, Hammarskog had some very nice new clear ice but on a limited area, and from Ryssviken north towards Oxen we could stretch out a bit.
