Cyclocross, Järvafältet, Oct 24th

A ride with the cyclocross bike on Järvafältet north of Stockholm.. Dry gravel roads, blue skies and sunshine, red and yellow autumn colors, a very nice day.. Lunch at Helenes Café with the lady afterwards went down a treat..

Freediving, Malta, Oct 18th

Mid-October and a sunny Sunday on Malta.. Headed to Ghajn Tuffieha  south of Golden Bay for some freediving.. Very clear water and a comfortable 24 C sea temperature.. Found some nice arches & tunnels among the rocks around the peninsula leading over to Gnejna Bay..

Freediving / Snorkeling in Comino Cave, Oct. 4th

A short freediving / snorkeling session in a Comino cave.. Nice afternoon light and very clear water.. (except for some garbage..) Still 25 C sea temperature but dropping off now when summer has ended on Malta..

Sailing in Roslagen - Sept 26th-27th

Final sailing weekend for the year.. At the harbour club, the first batch of boats were lifted out of the water while I headed out north-west in a light breeze.. I arrived at Alnön a couple of hours later for a lazy afternoon in a nice sheltered cove.. Some food and movies and then a good nights sleep.. Sunday offered a fresh breeze from north-west so I made good pace with the genoa taking in the nice scenery in a pretty desolate archipelago..

Scuba Diving, Cirkewwa Malta, Sept 13th

Sunday diving on the P-29 Patrol Boat and Tugboat Rozi, two popular scuttled wrecks at the northern side of Malta at the ferry point.. Max depths on these dives were 35 & 34 meters, both lasting 40 minutes..

Sailing, Uddhamn-Brännäset, 28th-29th of Aug

A short sailing trip is a lot better than no sailing trip, so I headed from work Friday afternoon up to Herräng to cast off shortly before the sunset.. Over fairly calm waters I enjoyed beautiful sceneries in the skies as the evening turned towards night.. Anchored on the hook in Brännäset with good shelter from the south-westerly winds.. A full moon and some Northern Lights added further drama to admire.. Saturday morning offered 8-11 m/s wind on the nose so I had a fun sail back with reefed main and genoa.. 

Scuba diving, Gozo-Malta, Aug 15th

Saturday scuba diving on Malta - Heading to Gozo with Samuel for two boat dives together with Dive Systems.. This little cave was definitely the highlight of the day..

Sailing, Uddhamn-Ornö, July 27th-Aug 1st

6 days of single-handed sailing through some of the most scenic areas of the the vast Stockholm archipelago.. Starting from Uddhamn, heading south through Väddö channel, Blidö, Möja, Runmarö.. Turning point was around Ornö where I took a more eastern route in the outer archipelagoes, passing Bullerö, Sandhamn, Nassa, Norrpada and Söderarm before coming back north through the Väddö channel again.. Shifting weather with sun, clouds and rain, winds from 2-10 m/s.. Total distance covered was 355 kilometers.. Great week!

Sailing: Väddö, Söderarm, Håkansskär, 12th-14th of July

Three days of great sailing, heading down south through the Väddö channel.. 1st night on the hook at Lidö, continued on Monday through the Söderarm and Håkansskären archipelagos.. 2nd Night at Stärbsnäs, and then leisurly motoring and cruising north back to home harbour in Herräng..

Hiking, Anarisfjällen, July 2nd-4th

With another old friend getting married later this summer, we met up for a couple of days of socializing in Anarisfjällen, Jämtland.. I arrived a bit late, so I missed the helicopter transport and hiked up from Tossåsen, which was not bad at all.. Mostly sunny weather, good fun, edible food and great views..

Sailing, Roslagen, June 27th-28th

Weekend cruising in the Roslagen archipelago with the lady.. First real summer weather has finally arrived! Looking forward to the holiday for longer trips.. We headed out on Saturday afternoon the 27th and spent the night at Tjärsholmen, on Sunday we made a long lunch stop at Brännäset before heading back south in a fresh breeze..

A short single-handed sail on a Sunday night, heading from Herräng to Grisslehamn and back.. Grey skies and fairly chilly for the season, but still a nice way to end the weekend..

Sailing, Roslagen, May 16th

First sailing of the 2015 season.. After sorting out the new roller furler and doing some final adjustments, finally time to head out for a short test run.. Everything worked nicely, and we enjoyed a light breeze under clear blue skies..

Road Cycling, Malta & Gozo, April 18th-19th

Rented a road bicycle for the weekend and enjoyed the nice April weather..   If you're thinking about doing some rides on the islands, this might give you a decent view of how it's like..

XC-Skating, Sörmland, Feb 15th

XC-Skating on 4 lakes in Sörmland with Emil: Yngern, Sjundasjön, Klämmingen and Lake Mälaren at the Gripsholm Castle.. Ice conditions not great but still enjoyable.. Low pace, I'm just recovering from a major cold..

A short XC-skating session on Lake Yngern in Södermanland.. Decent ice, but unfortunately the snow started falling, hopefully it will melt away quickly.. Anyways, nice place, I'll be back..

Fantastic XC-skating on clear ice in early January.. Me, Edward and Magnus headed to the lakes Gisslaren and Southern and Northern Vällen in Uppland, Roslagen.. In conditions like this few sports can match.. Happy day!

XC-Skating, Tämnaren & Vendelsjön, Dec 21st

Excellent skating on lake Tämnaren and Vendelsjön, 3-7 cm clear ice, blue skies, around -2 C in the air.. Joined by Emil & Edward, plus two guests in the group.. Total distance covered was about 45 km.. 

XC-Skating Tämnaren & Vendelsjön, Dec 14th

First XC-session for the season, where we headed to Tämnaren and Vendelsjön in northern Uppland.. Sunny day and around -2C.. Rather thin ice on Tämnaren so we progressed with great care.. More stable conditions on Vendelsjön where we could increase the pace a fair bit..

Scuba Diving, Cirkewwa Malta, Sat 30th of Nov

Saturday diving with Dive Systems on Malta, 29th of November 2014.. We visited the two scuttled wrecks "Tugboat Rosie" and "P29 Patrol Boat" at Cirkewwa.. Cloudy day so a bit dark down on 30+ meters.. Sea temperature is now around 19C.. The other divers were doing a wreck diving course so I had a look around and inside the boats myself, filming with my GoPro Hero 3+ and a new telescopic GoPole stick..
